I see my post has been removed.... Right after a valid point of hypocrisy was brought to light..... It would seem that if an action that you dont condone was participated in by a friend, they would not be condemned for their actions.... Their actions would be noted and discussed, but they would not be thought of as abusive or otherwise..... However, if that same action was done by someone that was unknown to you, it is ok to consider them abusive, slander their name, threaten that person and make all sorts of derogatory accusations towards that person.... Possibly forever condemning their name through social media.... Brings to light a new topic My thoughts are this.... If it is not ok for you to do something, but you consider it acceptable for your associates to do it, you are in fact demonstrating that particular action to be considered acceptable by all. Which would mean that you would have no right to judge another person based on those actions, regardless of your own personal opinion. The double standards that you set between yourself and those you socialise with would rule out any opinion you could publicly have regarding those actions. In general, if you find something grossly offensive, but accept the deed be done by someone you know, you have no right to condemn those you do not know for doing the same thing. So whether it be barbed wire fencing, training or breaking techniques, riding styles or abilities, tack etc..... Find your opinion, stand by it, live by it, but do not condemn those who have a different opinion because those people have done the exact same thing you have done..... They have formed their own opinion, they are standing by it, living by it..... And I dont see them publicly condemning you for yours
