I see people that are disdainful of Facebook. They state that it takes away from face to face interaction and is hurting our ability to have real social face to face relationships. While it may not be for everyone, I will stand up and say I LOVE Facebook! I went to 4 different schools K thru 12 that all had distinctly different cultures and people. I went to 4 different Universities after that. Since that time, I have had a LOT of career movement and many different hobbies - plus lived in 4 very different cities. I have friends all over the world and each with a different life experience and way of thinking. Without Facebook, I would never still be in touch with any of them. How great it is to wake up in the mornings and see what people that I know from 30 years ago are doing and what they are thinking, eating, find funny, and sharing. This is not to mention that I keep up with friends that I know from all the traveling I have to do now. I see some close friends once a month only, but we know exactly what is going on with each other when we do. Facebook for me has kept me in touch with old friends, brought new ones in my life, keeps me up to date with all my spread out family, and keeps me laughing and thinking about new things. Without it, I would go to work and just know those that I see each day and travel only to not know one person when I get off work in a different city every night. So, I am not ashamed to say that I LOVE FACEBOOK and and proud of it! ;-)
