I see the DWP are planning to use credit checks on benefit - TopicsExpress

I see the DWP are planning to use credit checks on benefit claimants to reduce the money lost in fraudulent claims. I also saw the some councils in England and Wales are considering using lie detectors for the same purpose. Benefit fraud costs this country 1.2 billion pounds a year. Now thats not a small sum of money by anyones standards. However, to subject people to this sort of treatment is abhorrent, especially when we take the time to consider the hundreds of billions we have thrown at the banking system in recent years. All that money to the banks, which we now own and we still cant get the bastards to do as their told. Those banks are STILL losing billions and they STILL give bonuses out to executives! Thats OUR money! Tax payers money! Do we see bankers, who robbed this country of far more than benefit cheats being subjected to the same sort of checks and tests? No, of course we dont! Heres a little story for you. Ten people are sitting round a table. Eight are bankers, business people and super rich. One is just an ordinary working person and the other is a benefit claimant. There are 100 doughnuts on a tray at the centre of the table. The bankers business people and super rich take 99 doughnuts and say to the worker... watch that benefit cheat, hes trying to take your doughnut! Sounds familiar, doesnt it?
