I see the interpretation of this wonderful cartoon a little differently. For many students, they go through a greater part of their life, never fitting in, never accepted by the mass of mankind; maybe even their family. Then one day, they hear of their Heritage as a Son or Daughter of God. They begin to recognize themselves as a Mighty I AM Presence in embodiment upon the earth. Here to Master Creation. So I see that when this beautiful little duckling found his family, he had come back into the fold of the Holy Family, his true family. I do not see it that he thought of himself as an ugly duckling; I see him crying because he had a yearning in his heart for love that had been denied him, that he had searched for but had not found.
