I see the post on the local bulletin board about a dog owner losing her pit bull. While it us sad that a dog was destroyed it is also unfortunate that the owner of the dog failed to keep the dog in their own yard and because of numerous complaints the dog was taken by animal control and destroyed. If people would just take responsibility for proper care of their dogs this problem would not exist. If you have dogs fence your property and if you have pit bulls comply with the county regulations regarding this breed. I like most dogs..it us the owners I find are the problem. While it might sound cruel Id like to see all stray dogs in the town picked up. Dogs tend to firm packs and then problems arise. Be it the harassment if people out walking to the threat to owners of livestock. Owning a dog comes with responsibility to properly care for the dog.
