I see you... a letter written to NICU parents. Lake was in the NICU for seventy long days. This letter touched my heart and brought some joy and sadness this morning. I feel so blessed and fortunate that Lake is doing so well. In my heart groups I dont always see the happy endings from parents. Parents taking their babies home for hospice, surgeries not going well, babies not lasting long on their own. I think about those that have experienced the NICU life like us, but most of all I think about our friends and strangers who are anticipating this new life. Knowing their baby will be staying in the hospital and awaiting the role of the parents in this letter. I just want to encourage those parents to stay strong, have faith, hold your head high, help your little fighter and be the best advocate you can be.
