I seem to have missed a moment to respond to some valid concerns about what we, as citizens of Fond du Lac know and what we dont know. Can I just say that I have not been informed of any salvage efforts that have been in the plans all along. I am talking to the demolition team and offering our help only because their responses to my questions are showing me that Commonwealth might not be offering them enough direction or time to salvage items. This is Commonwealths choice. So, we cant blame the demo team. But we have not received much reassurance from Commonwealth or the demo team. IF anyone knows what is being saved I would HOPE they would put it out in the newspaper or directly tell this site and other sites where Fond du lac gathers. This would make sense to me. Good Marketing. Humane. And, if posting Demo pictures is making people too sad I am truly sorry. Would it help if I posted the photos we took in December that show the Retlaw in better condition? Ill attach those to the top of this page (I can pin only one page on top.) So visitors can all see the better side of its history. Okay? I hope this helps. Still we ARE recording demolition for the out of towners who ARE wanting this, also. No one is gloating here. Remember? We lost. : / Have a better day.
