I seldom talk about my past. Especially on how I survived, - TopicsExpress

I seldom talk about my past. Especially on how I survived, well - barely, in my primary school life. There’s nothing wrong with talking about my past or even my insecurities (to a point) because it’s part of me that made me who I am today. But I have been scarred, hence burying all feelings and insecurities seems like the easiest way to deal with it. I never talk about this part of my life story publicly before, but for #globaldignityday, I figured that maybe sometimes our suffering can also be the greatest possible invitation to transform ourselves and everyone else. So I said it, and I’m grateful for all the beloved young ones that were there with me in the audience seat, sharing the moment with me. Today is Global Dignity Day. In a day and age where there is so much conflict in the world (between cultures, religions, generations, socioeconomic classes, and more) there is a great need for broad agreement on something unifying, something that encourages and even grows a sense of community. That something is dignity. If we have time, why not tell someone your own story about dignity today?
