I sent the following to my son in hopes that he will help me spread the word. Luckily he is fairly aligned with me, politically, not on all issues, but enough that he understands where we are as a nation and how we have been mislead. Here it is: JB As you know I’ve worked hard to help our community (the black community) understand the issues of the day. In 2008 most people rejected my pleas to do their own homework on Obama and to not rely on a complicit media that was determined to elect the first black president regardless of his background or lack thereof. Now almost five years later with unemployment still high, massive debt, continuing foreclosures and now massive intrusion of personal liberties and freedoms (e.g. AP, IRS, NSA, Fox News Reporter J. Rosen, Benghazi, Fast and Furious and more) people are beginning to see how dangerous electing people based on empty promises, false premises and color can mean for them, their families and the country. As a continuation of hoping that our community will get beyond the “D” beside a name and look at “facts” historical and current, I am providing you with a video of a former Democrat who just switched parties and became a Republican. Don’t get me wrong though, I think the Republicans are as bad as the Democrats, for they have lost a lot of their conservative values, but in looking at the foundation for what Republicans should and use to stand for, it makes a big difference. The problem is that there are too many “progressive” Republicans as there are Democrats. I am hoping that youth like you and your friends will do their homework and see that “conservative” principles that formed the Republican Party need to be reestablished and that they can be the motivation to making this happen. In summary, if America is to succeed, if the black community is to finally reach its true potential then it will be your generation that will make it happen. As a family man, I know that you want what is best for your wife and son. After over 50 years of major liberal policies in the black community, clearly liberalism is not the answer.
