I seriously just had a mini panic attack. Just thought about the fact that Ill be leaving Columbus for an indefinite amount of time in exactly a month from today, playing my last show for a while with Nick Tolford and Company just two days before that, and going back to a city that scares the shit out of me. My biggest fear about going to Memphis is not being able to be myself and seeing family members who just dont get it. I know Ill probably just end up creating my own little hidey-hole and only leaving the house when I absolutely have to. I guess thats kind of the point other than being with family, but Im freakin out, man! This few months is gonna feel like five years, but at least I have a few consolations: my parents are amazing, my siblings are hilarious and supportive, and my nephew is my new favorite human on the planet. Columbus, youve spoiled and ruined me for anyone and anywhere else. Lets have fun this month. I love you.
