I seriously owe a Nelson update, besides his propensity to chew - TopicsExpress

I seriously owe a Nelson update, besides his propensity to chew things in his no running stage of therapy, hes mastered the requirements of basic therapy for three weeks post surgery (plus a little extra time) . He has had Chevy as an excellent playmate to help build what humans cannot in muscle tone. She plays so well with him that I have given her full angel wings if God himself has not. However, we are now heading into the rehab phase with him and awesome donor paid his rehab schedule in full. It took a while to be sure he could do the things that were asked of him, like stand on his back foot for 60 seconds, switch to front and back, switch to just one side of feet to balance. The hardest has been to stand on his back foot and alternate front foot. The therapist has said two weeks, but its been three + to reach the amount of repetitions they wanted, but I got it tonight so well be scheduling his official visits this week or next. What you all might find amazing is that he can still cycle his stump I dont know when I first noticed it, but I did. He is quite the resourceful boy in all of his needs and figures out what he needs to do to accommodate his wishes. I am very proud of our tripod with an honest lab puppy soul! Hes made it where the therapist wanted him so, next chapter, here we come!
