I served one of my chefs ice cream today. A chef that I have so much respect for. When he said I didnt know you worked here..it sounded like pure disappointment (not just because its his tone) but because he once told me that I had great tallent and he wanted to see me actually do something with what I learned in school. Maybe I just havent found my place yet or maybe I just lack real confidence in myself and my work. I dont know what it is, but I know I dont want to make ice cream for the rest of my life and I never what that feeling again.
