I shall celebrate Him every day. … It was a miracle that He stepped off His thrown, laid down His crown, took off His royal robes, and came to be swaddled in a trough, surrounded by smelly livestock. Heralded by angels was His birth. Lauded by the magi, sought out by the shepherds . Hunted by Herod. He came upon His creation for one thing and never took His eyes off the cross. So while it is true to sing hallelujah! for a child born, Thee son given, it is nevertheless sad what we did to Him. But Oh I thank Him for coming, teaching, feeling, hurting, crying, hungering , thirsting, and never wavering. I thank Him He never gave into the temptation that was a massive onslaught from the evil one. I thank Him for the perfect life He led, the perfect example He set. Never sinning, and yet dying of sin. For bearing the torture, the persecutions, the lies told of Him, I thank Him, for hanging on that tree for me. For me? For me! Washed in His blood and forgiven for He came to pay my unpayable debt. And humbled I am. Fearfully grateful am I for His resurrection that gives me hope of going to live with Him eternally. God came, He saw, He wept, He laid down His life, and He arose....Oh yes, Thank YOU FATHER, Thank YOU SON Thank YOU HOLY SPIRIT.
