I shall not be afraid by the terror of night, nor of the arrow - TopicsExpress

I shall not be afraid by the terror of night, nor of the arrow that flies by day—Psalm 91.5 With the crow bar in my left hand and my Swiss army knife in my right, not breaking stride, I jumped on his back like climbing on a horse, bringing him to his belly. Like a ninja, I dropped the crow bar and grabbed him around his snout with my free hand. I pulled his head back to my chest and cut his throat from one side of his neck to the other. I sat on him and held his head close so that he could bleed out. When he finally died, I looked up and saw one of my candidates. He had gotten disoriented and returned. He was now standing about fifteen meters away, with map and weapon at his side, looking in disbelief as if he just seen an Alien eat a human. I looked at him and shouted, “What’re you looking at?” He didn’t even respond. He turned and ran into the woods as if I was coming after him next. I can just imagine the story he told to his fellow candidates around the fire that night. Excerpt from American Badass
