I share a post by Ben Edimer with an addition. A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, Who would like thus $20 bill? Hands started going up. He said, I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this. He proceeded to crumble the bill up. He then asked, Who still wants it? Still hands were up in the air. Well, he replied, What if I do this? And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now all dirty and crumbled. Now who still wants it? Still the hands went up into the air. My friends, you have all learned a valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumbled and ground into the dirt by the sin, human folly, ignorance and or in situations and circumstances we face or cone out way. We may feel worthless, of no value. But, no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. You are special--Dont ever forget it. God sees our value. God does not see the same way people see. People look at the outside of a person, but the Lord looks at the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7 God sees us with the eyes of a Father. He sees our defects, errors and blemishes. But He also sees our value. What did Jesus know that enabled Him to do what He did? Heres part of the answer. He knew the value of people. He knew that each human being is a treasure. And because He did, people were not a source of stress but a source of joy. Governed by love In Christ we are set free by the blood of His death, and so we have forgiveness of sins. Ephesians 1:7 Jesus spoke of freedom, but He spoke of a different kind of freedom; the type of freedom that comes not through power but through submission. Not through control but through surrender. Not through possessions but through open hands. God wants to emancipate His people; He wants to set them free. He wants His people to be not slaves but sons and daughters. He wants them governed not by law but by love. We have been liberated from our own guilt and our own legalism. We have the freedom to pray and the freedom to love the God of our heart. And we have been forgiven by the only one who could condemn us. We are truly free! God is for you. He will rejoice over you. You will rest in His love; He will sing and be joyful about you. Zephaniah 3:17 God is for you. Turn to the sidelines; thats God cheering your run. Look past the finish line; thats God applauding your steps. Listen for Him in the bleachers, shouting your name. Too tired to continue? He will carry you. To discouraged to fight? Hes picking you up. God is for you. God is for you. Had He a calendar, your birthday would be circled. If He drove a car, your name would be on His bumper. If theres a tree in heaven, Hes carved your name in the bark... Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? God asks on Isaiah 49:15. What a bizarre question. Can you mothers imagine feeding your infant and then later asking, What was that babys name? no, I have seen you care for your young. You stroke their hair, you touch their face, you sing their name over and over. Can a mother forget? No way. But even if she could forget...I will not forget you, God pledges (Isaiah49:15). My dream: Dear Survivor Friend: We all have feelings pertaining to things past or present some resolved some unresolved. Understanding ones feelings are neither right or wrong sometimes just the natural response to a given situation or circumstances makes it easier. Sin nature is relying on ones’ own strength and ability. I had a dream and in the dream I was standing before the Lord and two others with me. We had been travelling and came upon some very rough terrain and things spun out of control. When I awoke I was standing in front of Jesus. I said Lord, Lord Do You see me. And He spoke yes. I said Thank you God I am alive. When I pointed to my friend I asked Lord, Lord, do you see her. Lord, do you see her. And He spoke yes. And I said Thank you God she is alive. Then I pointed to the man who had been travelling with us and I asked the Lord. Lord, Lord, do You see him as I pointed to him, silence. Again I said Lord, Lord, do you see him with more desperation in my voice, silence. As my eyes welled up with tears, I asked once again, Lord, Lord, do you see him. And Jesus spoke and said I am sorry he died. As the Father approached the room I walked over wrapped my arms around His neck and wept saying please God no, please God no. My heart was breaking and I felt no comfort. I know You were trying to tell me some may not experience what |I am but will still enter Heaven and be with You. While I was at work I was asking Him and telling Him I did not understand the dream. And why it touched my heart so deeply. He said He needs peoples’ hearts to be touched in regards to others in compassion. My heart broke because the person did not know God or His love and had not experienced it in their Christian walk. Just as my human heart was touched and broke My Heavenly Fathers’ heart is touched and breaks when someone does not know Him or experience the fullness of His Grace and because of things in their lives He needs human representatives here on earth to help them make that transition. Then His heart in Heaven is so full of joy that the one that was lost has been found and now able to walk in His love and grace and experience Him in their daily lives. This is the will of The Father and His Son and the Holy Spirit. One day while I was working I was caught up in the spirit and hearing a conversation between the Lord, God and I was standing a short distance away. Jesus was telling the Father He had carried me in His Heart and I knew He had carried me (I was sure though He dropped me a few times, lol) God looked at me and I said yes, I knew He had carried me. And Jesus looked at the Heavenly Father and walked over to Him and wrapped His arms around the Fathers’ neck and began to weep saying Thank You Father she is now walking along side Me and He told Him I was getting so heavy; He was glad I was walking alongside Him now. They both continued talking saying they knew I would continue to share so others might come to know them and experience them each as they truly are like I had done in the past years. And God looked at me and told me with healing and His grace it will be easier and I believe He told me He was proud that I was His child. I told Him I still don’t fully understand and I needed to understand more to what He was showing me. As I wrote my father and sent his letter and with what happened in my heart I understand now He was showing me that I have held people in my heart and as the time comes He will give me the words I need. There are no words that could adequately express the love of God and His grace and beauty and His wonder. When we seek to understand His love as it truly is and His will and His way His heart you can only stand in wonder and awe of one so great and it is this love that casts out fear because of its purity so I continue to pray Lord, I believe continue to help my unbelief that every area of my life will be consumed by Your love because it is Your love that transforms me and it is Your love that will transform others and in that transformation clearer and clearer vision of You and who You are. And He shows me He fulfills Matthew 11:26-30 as we go to Him when our hearts are troubled, we feel anxious, fearful, worried, concerned, feel ill, head aches etc. when we feel bogged down tired and heavy laden and ask the Holy Spirit to intercede on our behalf and on behalf of any other who may be struggling under the weight of circumstances or situations according to Romans 8:26 and as the Spirit intercedes on our behalf and on behalf of others our burden because easy and light and I experience a lightness inside that when I am walking if a gust of wind were to come along I feel as though I could be blown away. He says all should feel this way and the moment one begins to struggle or feel heavy in any way they need to ask the Holy Spirit to pray on their behalf and on behalf of another and we are blessed as we experience Him work in and through us. And His burden is indeed light. And He promises in John 14:16-17 that He will go to the Father and send a Helper to guide direct and teach us all we need to know. So as we approach Our Heavenly Father we know He has provided all that we need and a teacher who we can call upon in understanding more and have opportunity to grow stronger and stronger each day inwardly by His Spirit.
