I share this only because it is a truly chastening experience - and educational - to read some of the comments on this thread. We may be aware that the BNP, EDL and UKIP, not to mention the more unsavoury elements of the Tory Party, are out there, active and have a worrying degree of support. But the level of psychopathic hatred, of sheer poisonous mental disturbance on display here is pretty terrifying. We must never forget the difficulty of the task we face in maintaining civilised human values in the face of murderous stupidity from whatever source, but we must also never give up that task, however hopeless it might sometimes seem...
