I shared an email that one of these students wrote a few days ago (and her professors hilarious response) but this is worth mentioning, again. The world, by and large, is a cold and uncaring place. Most of the people you interact with do not care about your feelings. Try telling a future employer that you cant work because you feel bad about national or world events that dont directly involve you; youll be out of a job before the day is out, as well you should be. The Feels mean less than nothing in the real world. The sooner these Pink Shirts learn this the better.
