I shared this post last night on my personal page after learning that a friend felt that I share my story for attention, rather than for the true cancer prevention cause. Thankfully Im strong enough to not be offended by his words, but I must admit that I had a chuckle to myself about an hour after it was shared when someone had reported the image as nudity. Just goes to show the lack of understanding some people have about this journey, especially when Facebook support the sharing of post-mastectomy photos to help raise awareness about breast cancer to support those undergoing treatment or living with the scars.
