I should be sleeping right now but I cant. Im too excited! I hope you will indulge a long but heartfelt post of gratitude for what we are creating together. This campaign, funded solely by the grassroots, is wrestling the status quo of Annapolis to its knees. As a publicly financed campaign that has saved every precious dollar for TV ads that will spread our message in the closing weeks of this race, we have spent no money on yard signs or bumper stickers and we dont have an army of paid staff. Yet, magically, we have exactly what we need to win: legions of volunteers sharing countless hours organizing their neighborhoods and spreading their enthusiasm for a different way. Our light, our truth, and our spirit are awakening something deep within the people of our great state. Without regard to party or ideology, we are standing together…for each other…for a vision of Maryland that rebuilds community, invests in its people, and ends the divisions that keep us from creating real change. You are a part of this, in big ways and small. Whether you share or comment on a post; set the twitterverse on fire; email your neighbors; staff a phone bank; knock on doors; talk to your family or even a stranger in the grocery store line; or drive people to the polls – YOU are why we will win this election each and every one of the next eleven days until victory on June 24th. A campaign is a reflection of a governing philosophy. We will create a government that truly lives up to being of the people, by the people, and for the people. I am profoundly grateful for you.
