I sit here at the computer with mixed feelings this morning. I see all these Christmas posts and yet I dont feel much of the spirit. One reason is probably obvious to most of you but another is that I see so many of those posts from my Christian friends. As I have been doing more Bible study and historical background, as well as sitting under teaching from my pastor David-Sharon Jones I feel less and less christmasy all the time. I would challenge all my Christian friends to study the history of this holiday and the timing of the birth of Christ and see if they can actually reconcile the two of them. On a lighter note, however, I do wish all my friends and family (both old and new) a happy holiday season and a great New Year.
