I sit under our grapevine at our home at 8 Shore Ave. surrounded - TopicsExpress

I sit under our grapevine at our home at 8 Shore Ave. surrounded by the Danvers River. A seagull flies by and perches itself on the pier. There is a steady flow of Sunday morning walkers ...oh look...its Jennifer Perrone Wessell on her morning constitution, breathing in the sea salt air and watching the usual weekend parade of boats heading out through the Kernwood swing bridge heading towards the Beverly Harbor...my guess they will all eventually meet up at Cocktail Cove and why not on a day like this! 8 Shore Ave. is the most peaceful place I know. I can sit out under the grapevine early morning, coffee in hand in last nights sleepwear. I have spent 50 plus decades on the Danvers River under these grapevines enjoying the company of family, friends, alone time. Oh if this house and property could talk....what tales they could tell. We have laughed, cried, argued, celebrated and grieved under the grapevine. We were children her, we raised our children here and now our childrens children. This is the longest house I have ever lived in, my parents brought me through these doors in their arms back in 1954 just days after my birth at Beverly Hospital. There is a sense of unconditional love and security and a constant at 8 Shore Ave, Here I feel and recall the days of our time....a time of innocence - here my soul is grounded. Here I am 5 wanting to be 6, 10 wanting be 12, 14 wanting to be 16, 18 wanting to be 21......ahhh the times of our lives and so many of you are a part of this home! Last night set a date for another High School girlfriends weekend in Blue October. We will really be roughing it....sleeping on cots and air mattresses wandering thru empty rooms as renovations begin in November. I promise that nothing will happen to make anyone feel 8 Shore Ave. is gone. No McMansion only updates, clean, open, easy and fresh. No place deserves it more!!!!!!
