I so love this song.....it always reminds me of a great memory and a great LESSON of how you treat those that love you so much!! My father loved to dance - he would dance with me when I was little and for such a big man - he was a great dancer. He loved to tell me the story about dancing to the Glenn Miller Band in New York. When I was in high school, I was so excited about my first prom (Ledford) - and then I was not so happy when I realized my parents were going because Daddy was president of the PTA (that alone was enough to embarrass me:) - now he was going to be at my prom!! At the prom that year the theme included everyone having old dance cards - where people signed your card or you signed theirs for a dance. I told my father in no uncertain terms that I was not dancing with him. I noticed that although I was sitting out songs - my father never sat down. All the girls were dancing with him!! I went over to him when he finally sat down with my mother and told him that I would dance with him (I remember saying it like I was doing him a favor). Daddy showed me his dance card - it was filled with names and more than the lines could hold on the card. I just stood there - amazed (but not really - I knew my father and I knew how everyone loved him). I started to turn away when Daddy got up and grabbed my hand and we danced the next three dances! I am not sure I ever told my son that story, Ryan Earls, but now I have! ***Great part in this video and all fathers should remember this....you can dance with you son too!!!!
