I so want to make a difference to my lost generation. My heart is set to reflect Christ to a world that needs him more than ever before. I take ownership of the hurting, the weary, and the wounded. I take responsibility for the orphans, the week, and the helpless. I commit to reach to the throne of God for their needs with one hand, and reach to the pit of their hell with the other. I commit my life as a living sacrifice, that Christ could live in me. That he could speak through me, that he could care through me, that he could reach through me, and that his love would shine through me like the brightness of the sun. I lay down this day all those things that have hindered that light, all those things big and small that have stood in the way of the shining light of Christ through my life. I lay aside every other goal, every other agenda, every other pursuit, and subject them to the pursuit of Christ living through me to reach this world. The plague of selfishness, whether it be an ocean, or simply a drop that taints and poisons who I am, I abhor it, I avoid it, I crucify it. My daily pursuit shall not be in greed, for wealth for ease or comfort. My daily pursuit will be for Christ to live in me at the highest possible level. That his love would be so clear in me, that his compassion would be so active in me, that his power would flow through me, as to realize that great purpose of rescuing the perishing. I will not be thwarted by mediocrity. I will not die in the lukewarm cesspool of self pursuits. I will not settle for pats on the back, accolades, or the approval of men. But I will earnestly seek the well-done of him who knows my every thought and intent. Laying down my life in the truest sense, at his feet, for his use, for his glory! I refuse to stand at the end of my days shrouded in regret, wondering what would have been had I allowed Christ to be my true king. But I am enthroning you now. I will arise every day and surrender my will to your bidding. My time is yours, my thoughts are yours, my actions are yours, my passions are yours, my agenda is yours, my purpose is yours, I surrender all to you. Stand upon this earth with my feet, speak with my mouth, and heal with my hands. Hide me under the rock of Christ and let me not be seen, but let your glory shine unveiled, unhindered, unlimited. In Jesus name!
