I spend a lot of time working and playing with chocolate, but of course, there are other things in my life that I love as well. To share something of a more personal nature, Ive just gotten married to my partner of 7 1/2 years in a ceremony that we held in her familys home village of Ambeli (translation Grape Vine) in Greece. A humble village that has seen a declining population for some time, now down to just to a couple of hundred people. We had considered some more famous and picturesque locations and Islands in Greece, but ultimately, holding our ceremony (the first that Ambeli has seen for many years) and making our vows in the traditional way in the traditional home of Fotinis family just felt like the right thing to do. Thank you to all of our family and friends that came along to share the day with us, to those that couldnt make it, and last, but not least, to my lovely partner Fotini who has been so supportive and understanding of me (my sometimes weekend long chocolate making sessions included) this long time. Now for the start of the honeymoon. First stop ... where else but the mecca of some of the worlds best Chocolate ... Belgium here I come! If you hear of any Belgian chocolate shortages in the coming weeks, then you know what happened ;)
