I spent a little time reading some of these post and comments. Wow, I like this group. I recently inherited some antiques from my mom. They came from a Battery home in Charleston S.C. I believe most are circa 1900 to 1910. This piece Id love to know the age and any comments of origin. My mom told me this piece was from the George Washington family home. I dont know if she was pulling my leg or not. Unfortunately she has passed and Im just researching for my own curiosity. Appreciate any comments. Thanks.
