I spent a lot of time yesterday reflecting on Robin Williams death - TopicsExpress

I spent a lot of time yesterday reflecting on Robin Williams death and the great entertainer that he was...and will always be. I didnt comment about it anywhere as there were a trillion posts about it. Today, I read some more posts....making a comparison to the veterans who suffer and commit suicide daily. Making it seem like Robin Williams was only a celebrity who made us laugh and that doesnt compare to fighting for a country. Well of COURSE it doesnt....but only the stupid would MAKE that pathetic comparison. Its written almost as if to belittle our sense of grief for someone we did not know personally and to rank his death lower on the scale of importance. If you say Im hungry, someone will remind you of the starving children of the world. I have a headache....at least its not a tumour. I am exhausted!....at least you are still breathing. I wouldnt get into a debate about my beliefs on many issues because there will always be someone who would set me off on a rant that would see me banned from here for sure. Robin Williams may have been a celebrity...but he was also a person with a mental illness. Look back over the years and see just how many comedians suffered the same. The biggest clowns are most often the saddest. Thats all I have to say on the death of Robin Williams...except to say there will be no other like him.
