I spent almost 2 hours this morning replying to emails and messages on my websites and social networks, and Ive been having convos here and there with people throughout the day. In fact, Im still interacting with people now as I post this. Its something Ive started taking time to do every Sunday and I do enjoy it. I receive a rather large amount of messages now a days, especially here on facebook, and its more and more every day. Im very grateful for this, no doubt, as most of it is people reaching out to me to show their love and support, or to ask me for help/advice which I am more than happy to give. I really like to take my time and respond to people as best as I can and have a convo if possible. However, it is becoming very difficult to keep up with all of it on a day to day basis. Sometimes, during the week, I will catch messages while Im online, but not always, and even then if Im online Im usually busy doing something and its hard to get into convos with people. Thats why I set aside Sundays to do as much as I can, and even then Im sure I dont get to it all. Thats why Im very active on posts in the comment sections throughout the week, because its the most efficient way for me to connect with people. Ive had people actually get upset with me and question my integrity because I didnt reply to their message within a time frame that they deemed acceptable, which is just absolutely absurd to me. I stay busy working on music, working on myself and with my personal life. I dont wait around on facebook all day for people to message me. Im a human, not a robot. I am not at anyones command. I would NEVER ignore anyones message intentionally. I am super grateful for every bit of love I get from people and I truly do the best I can to reply to and help everyone that I can. Its just becoming increasingly difficult for me to keep up with it all. I know that Im not the biggest artist out in terms of a fan base, but I do get a lot of mail and messages, and Im pretty sure that I do a better job than most other artists when it comes to interacting with my supporters. I know that most of you realize all of this, and I appreciate your understanding and patience. Im not saying all this to try to get pats on the back.
