I spent most of my adolescent summers around here on my uncles - TopicsExpress

I spent most of my adolescent summers around here on my uncles farm. Wherever we lived, Mom and Dad would send me here via plane train or bus. I learned invaluable lessons about farm life and country living. It actually just occurred to me that I was sent here, not so much for my own edification, but so my folks could enjoy peaceful summers without me. I will admit, I was a handful. Anyway, we did make it here one year for thanksgiving, as a family. I had my first exposure to hunting that fall. My cousins took me rabbit hunting. Jerry and Glen bagged a sack load of rabbits, which Aunt Glenda prepared that evening for supper. Awesome eats, I must admit. However, the meal was nearly spoiled when I announced how they had gotten so many rabbits. I had been posted on top of a huge brush pile and jumped up and down on it, while Jerry and glen shot rabbits trying to escape below me, with shotguns. Ah the fearlessness of youth. Have A Daybreak Day!
