I spent the afternoon Saturday at Jerrys Barn. I want to congratulate the Temple Wildcats for coming from behind and giving Aledo what was probably their toughest game of the year (except for the one they lost to a California powerhouse). Even though we lost in the final seconds of the game, I did not ask for my money back. The game was a classic any way you look at it. I feel badly for Jeff Carr who was injured and did not get to play much. Jeff -- I saw every home game and the state final, and you, sir, are a joy to watch. Marquis Hatcher -- I hope to see you playing on Saturday afternoons -- please consider the Texas Longhorns! You are a bruising runner! Chad President, my hat is off to you for being the latest in a string of great Wildcat quarterbacks. Your name is up there with Zach Allen, Bret Stafford, Adrian Woodson, Robbie Harris, Brad Dusek, and Doyle Traylor. Cole Martin, the receiving corps -- all great this year! Coach Spradlin -- keep teaching our kids football and life lessons! Lets do it again next year! Go Wildcats!
