I spent the afternoon with Nancy Solomon and the good folks at Long Island Traditions out in Montauk. There was a presentation by some local commercial fisherman and women featuring Perry Chip Duryea, Bonnie Brady, Sarah Broadwell, Dave Krusa, Chris Wright, and Reidar and Kristen Bendiksen from New Bedford Massachusetts. I got a perspective I think all of us need to know more about. There was discussion on fishing regs, catch shares, etc and stories about being on the water. I could have listened to the panelists talk all night.
