I spent the day fishing with Andy and his son Jerrod. Andy is from Los Alamos, New Mexico. Jerrod is a Sgt. First Class with the 1st Special Forces Group stationed at Fort Lewis, WA. We started the day with a bang. Jerrod landed a 7 or 8 pound hatchery hen in the first run we fished. We then spent the rest of the day looking for another fish. We fished a lot of good water to no avail. Especially working hard to find Andy a fish. The stars didnt line up for Andy, but in the last run of the day - Jerrod hooked another fish that popped lose right at at his feet. The fish took a sz. 16 Blue Copper John. Thanks for fishing with me Andy and Jerrod. It was fun. And thank you Jerrod for your service. Seven deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan, with another on the horizon. May GOD surround you and your family with HIS protection. It is an honor to have spent the day with you and your Dad.
