I spent three years defending a man who physically beat me at least once a week. Id defend him while I had finger and palm shaped bruises on my arms and face, I defened and protected him when a backhand from him sent me to the hospital with a broken nose and I was the one who got him out of jail TWICE for domestic abuse and for interupping a 911 call. He broke all the doors in my aparment, a window, totaled my first car and beat me when I was 19 and found out I was pregnant. I still defend him to this day. He was just a kid, He got it from his Dad, hes changed... Domestic violence is no joke. Her response is no ioke. Denial is very common in these types of relationships, its hard and almost impossible to admit the one you love is a terrorist to your body and soul. Its sad, its scary, and I hope and pray we dont ever hear about her or her husband in the news like this again because if we do, it could be too late for her.
