I spent today with my daughter Maiya in Kalispell. A little - TopicsExpress

I spent today with my daughter Maiya in Kalispell. A little shopping here and there then at the mall when I saw a man grabbing his throat and settling to his hands and knees on the floor. His actions were coughing but without sounds. Only Throat phlegm pouring from his mouth. Myself and a very Tall man went to him and initially thought he was choking but moaned that he was not. But obviously having a medical emergency and trouble breathing. Another store employee called for an ambulance while the tall man/ store employee and I tried to calm and comfort him. Then Tia identified herself as an RN (from Polson) came over and began to help out asking for my watch to take his pulse and question him about his condition. A few seconds later a Respiratory Therapist named Nitalia from Kalispell Regional Medical center walked up and pulled a stethoscope out of her purse! (How cool is that!) And the two women continued caring for him until the ambulance arrived. Can this story get any more Awesome! What are the chances that these two women were in the right place at the right time, never met until today and showed us all a side of selflessness and genuine compassion for human life. I have always had great respect for medical responders because its a very tough job and calls are too often unsightly and sad situations to be in. Todays incident heightened my already existing respect and much love for medical professionals. I pray that the man has a full and swift recovery!
