I spent yesterday afternoon at Chuck E Cheese. Youngest grandsons - TopicsExpress

I spent yesterday afternoon at Chuck E Cheese. Youngest grandsons birthday. On a good day, Chuckees is bad enough, but yesterday the place was more crowded than I have ever seen it. You could not turn around without running into an overly excited, carb fueled kid. There were three birthdays taking place near us, and that was in just a fraction of the vast, game-filled, kid-filled place. Lots of cake. Because what these kids really needed was MORE SUGAR. :-) The most alarming moment came when there was an announcement about a lost little boy. His clothing was described. A few minutes later, the same message was repeated. Then again. We looked around and saw an employee carrying the child, who couldnt have been much more than two. If you lose a child in a place like Chuckees, dont you realize it in, oh, twenty minutes or so? Eventually the child was collected by a teenager. I suspect the parents had cut and run. Me? Im made of sterner stuff . . . I stayed. However, if Bruiser wants his birthday party at Chuckees next year, I might have a previous engagement . . . -- LJ
