I spoke with Ms. Patricia Constance/“Connie” Larkin > Mrs. - TopicsExpress

I spoke with Ms. Patricia Constance/“Connie” Larkin > Mrs. “Connie Agahigian) Friday (12/26/14) for a half-hour. She updated me on a couple of facts: She taught just one-year: 1951-1952, my 4th grade year at Squantum School. Myself and two classmates and close friends, Bob (Robert) Anderson and Tyke (Michael) Sherman were smitten! Twice she took the three of us to visits at Boston museums!! It was her first teaching assignment after graduation from Framingham State College in spring 1951. Recently I found on-line the 1951 FSC yearbook that notes her numerous achievements, with a few “photo-ops.” (I’ll supply you with some of that site info per your requests.) I believe that in the fall of 1952 the then principal of Squantum, George Somerville (sp.?), then went on to be principal at another school in North Quincy, not far from NQHS (which I believe then served grades 7-12). She followed him there, and I think Ms. Larkin* told me she taught there for 3 years. By her description, I’m guessing it was the school on Newbury St. (Atlantic?). More to come I’m sure, subject to her agreement/involvement. I’m looking forward to this participating in this project! If you have information that you think would help me fill in the blanks in my memory, please contact me here; at my Facebook site; at my e-mail account: [email protected]; by phone under Deborah Ormon. -- Roger * Im sure that former students can call her Connie.
