I stand with the Sheriff! Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke (D) had some strong words for Eric Holder and other Democrat officials for challenging the intentions of the police in Ferguson. Clarke, who drew attention last year with his announcement encouraging Milwaukee citizens to arm themselves as “calling 911 and waiting” may be insufficient, won reelection earlier this month despite Michael Bloomberg’s funding an anti-gun candidate against him. Appearing with Fox News’ Harris Faulker, Clarke said: I think that some of the officials in Missouri, like governor Nixon, Senator McCaskill, and even the Attorney General of the United States made some irresponsible and inflammatory statements during this time which didn’t help the situation, insinuating that law enforcement officers across the United States engage in some nefarious or systematic cultural attempts to violate people’s civil rights. I thought that was a slap in the face to every law enforcement officer in America… I think that he owes every law enforcement office in America an apology.
