I stare at this blank canvas searching for thoughts / trying to unwind my mind/ I’m looking for some time to say / I love you today/ I gaze at the heart of you/ I miss every part of you/ you knew how to treat me / completely free me / from the world trying to defeat me/ you showed me love at its purest form/ I miss you some days/ I’m amazed that I get through/ lessons you taught me / I can’t believe I’m here without you beside me/ to talk to/ to lead me by example/ my heart gets trampled I can’t bring it to you/ to let it rest/ I sleep alone at night with hatreds laughter in my chest/ in my dreams the path of freedom never stops me/ but the path never ends/ so even then my dreams mock me/ I miss you /you seemed to ease through / rough times/ I stumble and fall/ you reached out your hand helped me stand tall/ you left me one summer night/ and to make it right / you made sure you saw me for the last few moments of your life/ you lay there just as sweet as I remember/ I shiver as I stand by your side rubbing you hand/ my heart crying insane / my exterior shows no sign of sorrow/ I rub your hands and say no more pain/ no more pain/ it gets hard sometimes/ I don’t know where to turn/ I remember the things you said the lessons I learned/ but I still yearn to talk/ walk/ hold you and laugh/ go fishing again/ me and my friend/ I ask God sometimes / if you could if just for an hour be alive / cause I’ve got questions to ask/ I know that’s selfish/ but I can’t help it/ you showed me what love is /but not how to give/ I miss you / I told you I love you but I/ could never say goodbye/ physically you’re not here but you are here/ I guess I’ll never feel better/ I hope heaven let you hear this letter I miss you grandma ....
