I started November thankful. I wasnt aware that I was participating in this month of thanksgiving, but it just started out that way. I didnt post about it, but Friday I started out by being very thankful for failures. I was doing some work repairing my Roland Keyboard and could not find a certain tool that would help me pry a part out that seemed to be stuck. I could not find the tool so I had to find another way. I searched around online and found out that the part I was trying to force out was attached to a circuit board that would have been damaged if I would have been successful. This would have made the repair even more expensive and would have cost me more time as well. Im so thankful for failures because it is failure that has often kept me from trouble that would have made things worse in my life. I think of the times when my vehicle ran out of gas or my alarm clock didnt ring and even though I was angry these failures could have possibly saved my life. Business opportunities that didnt go through and jobs that I didnt get a call back for after the interview have caused me to be upset, but may have saved me a lot of trouble and pain. There have been a few times in my life when I found out that I avoided trouble because of failure, but even though I celebrate success and relish the moments that seem as though everything worked out as planned Im learning to celebrate my failures as well because failures teach us lessons that success may have never accomplished.
