I started Suffolk last night. . . It is a beautiful place with an ornate accessories and a classy feel with art on the walls and all the trimmings a storied institution would have. The thing I liked the most was that the floors had electricity plugs so I can plug in my laptop without an extension cord. (Dean Michael Coyne, you reading this?) But in all of that I have to be honest. I really felt out of place there. MSL is not a beautiful place by most standards. Its a building with a bunch of rooms and a bunch of tables. . .But, its more of a home at MSL. MSL students, what I learned last night is that we received a top notch education from top notch people and while I will never describe the Massachusetts School of Law as "beautiful" I can say they were extremely efficient and effective. #Theresnoplacelikehome
