I started studying Islam because a class I took in-service called cultural diversity. People in the class was saying if you don’t believe that Jesus was the son of God you are going to hell so that’s when I started reading other’s cultural that’s when I ran a cross Islam, I started studying but before I had converted to Islam, I was a Christian. I converted to Islam because I had questioned myself weather I believed in Christianity because I was raised to believe it, or because I believed it was true. I started looking into other religions (Judaism and Islam), and found that I had agreed with many of Islams teachings and beliefs. I had studied and researched Islam at the library and on the internet for almost three years before I had made the decision to convert. I have a big family who are strict Christians, who know nothing about Islam (they choose to believe the stereotypes). It is a constant battle with stress and tensions but despite everything, I am much happier since I have become Muslim.
