I still dont understand why many, not all, people are surprised when someone takes their life. So often the hints and sometimes the outright Im struggling go completely ignored. Is a suicide attempt the only way to get your voice heard? Is it that hard to ask are you ok? Or do you need anything? Or simply state im here for you. I wonder if we live in that selfish of a society or whether thats just an indication of how many people are struggling, that we cant support others so well when we are trying to keep ourselves afloat. Or maybe people are shitty from the times you were hibernating through depression and its payback. I dont like to think we live in a terrible society and Im rather optimistic about peoples intentions...that everyones just doing their best. But this is a topic Im baffled by.
