I still have pharmacy patients that I took care of for years ask - TopicsExpress

I still have pharmacy patients that I took care of for years ask me questions about healthcare and especially insurance including drug plans. I was astounded today when I picked up two prescriptions for the same medication (one for myself and one for my wife) and the prices were drastically different. Mine was $2.87 and my wifes was $20.00. Both were dispensed at the same pharmacy. They were simply different Part D plans. This did not take place when the Part D plans started. Non-subsidized health care premiums for some coupled with high deductibles before benefits under Obama Care renders the insurance not affordable for many. The federal government wants to control healthcare and move us to a socialized form of healthcare. What started out as the Affordable Care Act hast become the non-affordable health care act to middle class America, in my opinion.
