I still need someone who will convince me that a weaker Rand is advantageou to our economy. The Rand is now very weak - fuel prices are very high, contrary to what we were told, the economy is shedding jobs or simply, unemployment is icreasing by leaps and bounds, inflation is putting tremendous pressure on ordinary consumers, interest rates are bound to increase. Eintlik who is benefiting from a weaker rand? Why should it be the rand that weakens when the so called dollars, pounds and euros of this world strengthen? And these nations have it nice with their strong currencies.
