I still remember the first time I saw this Great Gray Owl two years ago in Algonquin Park. We came a bit early and the office is not open yet. We chatted to one lady and mentioned what s on our to see list. Great Gray is number one on our list, the rest will be a bonus. She told us to drive all the way to km. 58, she saw the owl on her way to work that morning. And off we go, we reached km. 57 and halfway to km. 58 we saw lots of car parked on the side of the road and photographers with their big lens pointing to one direction. And there he/she is perched on the hydro wire. Not sure when will I see this owl but to see it once is good enough for me. Not a very good photo but the best I can do with my point and shoot!
