I stood in the balcony of the Spokane Bing Crosby theater tonight - TopicsExpress

I stood in the balcony of the Spokane Bing Crosby theater tonight and was completely captivated as I looked out over a room full of shadowed bodies with outstretched arms. Its so cool that even among strangers its possible to feel familiarity. I sensed an indescribable unity in that concert hall as people sang over and over again, We love you Well never stop We cant live without you, Jesus We love you And we cant get enough All this is for you, Jesus God reveals Himself in community. In fact, as the Trinity, He is a community in and of Himself. I can only hope as the Body of Christ, as an extension of the first church, we can model Gods desire to be with other people. God is not content to exist without us; if He was, why would He have become a man to invade humanity? It blows me away that HE is enamored by US and desires to produce His version of community within our broken world through the Church. Friends, weve got to make sure were taking care of one another. On that note, Id like to express the my deep deep deep appreciation for the people who have supported me through the first few weeks of arguably the most trying semester of my college experience. Caring for 27 little humans while proving your competence as an educator is draining, and you get that. Thanks for your little notes of encouragement, for stocking my fridge and pantry with food (namely miscellaneous carbohydrates), for listening to me rant about the flaws in the public school system, and for praying over my students with me. Its quite evident that God is constantly on your minds and that the reality of the Gospel has found its way into your hearts.
