I stopped at CVS in Bellaire this morning to get a couple of things, including a newspaper with the Presidents picture referring to his speech last night. The clerk, Hispanic male, asked if I listened to the speech. Of course I did. I zeroed in on how raising the minimum wage would help our economy. I also replied about how the President is doing all he can do, inspite of a racially divided and defiant Congress. He replied that a poll is saying the President is the worst in history. I replied that those are the same racist pollsters who are still not happy about his election and reelection. His dumb remark was that he did not know racism still exist. I told him to look around. He replied, what? Here in Bellaire. I replied and you are one of the people that he is fighting to raise minimum wage for. Go figure!
