I stopped at Lisbon Oil today to fuel up and heard someone yelling. I asked Rene about it and she told me it was the Methodist pastors wife. She originates from Africa & apparently doesnt even go to her husbands church, but walks the streets yelling out scripture and praying for people. Rene thought she blessed people. Rene went on to tell me that she had been beaten up by 4 young men in Fargo, where they used to live. Sounds like this woman has had a rough life. I bought her a bottle of water and gave her a hug. As I walked away, I heard her shouting, Bless that lady who gave me water. My Lisbon friends, I am challenging all of you to make it a point to do something kind for this woman every day. Even if its just a smile. Show her that kindness does exist for people who do things differently, as she is doing. God Bless her, please.
