I stopped by Whole Foods tonight for organic carrots since I now out for the remainder of the summer. I grabbed a beet and some ginger for my juice tomorrow ...... guess how much one beet cost! $2.49 FOR ONE BEET! I am pretty much sickened by the amount they charged considering I know how much the farmer is paid for beets on the market. WTH! They can kiss my beet. Its idiotic that anyone would pay that on a regular basis. Carrots were around $1 a lb so whew beets are gold considering they take the same amount of time to grow and the same amount of time to pick, roughly the same space.
