I submit that the true significance of grace has been undervalued - TopicsExpress

I submit that the true significance of grace has been undervalued and misappropriated by many in the Church today. Certainly, grace is “God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense.” However, we see that it is also the power of God influencing and empowering the believer to overcome sin and the devil’s works (see Ro. 6:14; Tit. 2:11-12). Therefore, grace is “Governing, Ruling And Conquering Enemies.” This is a more biblical definition of grace. In fact, the word salvation (Soteria) in the New Testament means to “Be free from the harassment of an enemy.” Jesus Christ came “…to rescue us from the hand of our enemies and to enable us to serve him without fear in holiness and righteousness before him all our days” (Luke 1:74-75).
