I subscirbe to the Congressional Budget Office e-mails and it is very interesting. Today I received an e-mail outlining proposals for November as follows: New From CBO H.R. 5754, Evidence-Based Policymaking Commission Act of 2014 S. 1328, New Philadelphia, Illinois, Study Act S. 1683, Naval Vessel Transfer Act of 2013 S. 398, Commission to Study the Potential Creation of a National Women’s History Museum Act I am certain, that our Congress are very proud of this activity!!! Thats the SAD Part! What, in the name of all that is Holy do these actions have to do with the Present Dangers of the Loss of our Nation? THEY JUST DONT GET IT! We desperately need a house cleaning in Washington, D.C. of the White House, the Senate and the Supreme Court! They are totally out of touch and consider themselves a Royal Elite, which is why we fought the original Revolutionary War! Most of them have forgotten that they are there to represent us and derive their powers from the consent of the governed! I, for one, no longer consent! When they finally arrest and remove this illegal man in our White House and all of his accomplices, we need to fix our government with some ground rules! WE CAN FIX CONGRESS – Proposed Congressional Reform Act of 2014 - (THESE RULES SHOULD APPLY TO THE PRESIDENT, VICE PRESIDENT AND ALL APPOINTEES! 1. We need “Term Limits for all Elected Government Officials! 2. No Tenure / No Pension. - A Congressman/woman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when theyre out of office. 3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security. - All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose by anyone, except for those who paid into it! 4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do. 5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%. 6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people. 7. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people. 8. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void effective Immediately. The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen/women. - Congress made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work. 9. Simplify bills and demand that they be read and understood by those voting for them. George Mason (the author of the Bill of Rights) wrote that no bill presented in either house of Congress should exceed 3 pages and that every bill should be in plain language, not legal jargon, so the average citizen can read and understand it. 10. Every Person who Holds office should be required to pass the same basic screening process required for a person applying for a Civil Service Career BEFORE they are sworn in! Currently, 100 of our members of Congress could NOT pass this basic screening process!
